We strongly believe that you just can’t ever have too many, which is why we continue to add more into our home whenever possible. Sometimes we have a specific spot in mind for where we’d like to have a certain plant. Most of the time, though, we buy them first and figure out where to put them later. When we brought our rubber tree home, we moved it around a few times before placing it in the nook next to our back door. As it sat there, we realized it needed a little lift, so we threw together a simple plant stand that took about 5 whole minutes to create!
All you do is place the legs upside down in every corner, as close to the edge of the wood as you’d like. Then, secure them with your screws. Flip it over and it’s ready for a plant on top. It’s THAT easy!
This plant stand DIY is so versatile because you can customize it to fit any size pot you’d like AND it compliments all types of decor styles. Our rubber tree looks so happy now : ) I know these plants can get really big, so I’m sure we’ll switch things up when it’s time to repot it. It’s just one more benefit to having indoor plants, they nudge you to switch things up and keep your space feeling fresh.
Of course, a plant stand isn’t the only thing you can make with some hairpin legs and a slab of wood. You can also create a 5 minute coffee table too (which is what we did when we first moved in!)
